BRIGHTON HAUL

Now you didn't think I was going to go to Brighton and not do any shopping did you?
Now I am not a huge fan of shopping....woah woah woah slow down, I know what you're thinking. I am a more "pop in, buy, pop out" kinda gal, I always seem to know what I want so it is very easy and I am great for quick shopping trips. However, I do have a few favourite shops and for those, I will spend all day browsing in them and Brighton has them all. I found myself with a lovely bunch of gift cards that I hadn't used so of course, I used them all up at the sea side...where else ay?

Now, I know what you're all thinking....all black? Well I'm afraid when it comes to clothes...monochrome is my thang.

So let's begin with my first clothing haul (eeesh!)

This awesome jumper comes from the ol' fave Urban Outfitters and even better is one of my favourite brands under the UO Umbrella, BDG. For some reason, I feel like BDG is just me in a brand, simple yet each garment always has an interesting detail - a twist to a classic if you will, comfortable (which is key) and most of all, it is wearable and not just a brand that follows the latest trend that will be gone next season. Anyway back to the jumper...it is an amazing slouchy fit which is perfect to feel snuggly in this horrible weather and it was an amazing £22 in the sale - BARG

At 5ft 2 I wouldn't normally go for a tailored cropped trew and in fact I have tried many in the past and it just never worked out between us but always aiming to try something a bit different I sotted these tangled up on a hanger buried in the sale racks, saw that beautiful S on the label and thought this could be the one. The fit of these are perfect and surprisingly don't make me look like I've been squashed so that everythings goes outwards. They have that classic high waisted 1950's crop to them which is great for my height and makes my legs look longer and if you don't mind me saying, perfect for the view from behind that plaid just hides that big bum right up...woohooo! At a brilliant £15 I couldn't resist UO rules once again.

Where do I start with this one....ok I saw it, pretty much yanked it from the rail so no one else could have it and ushered over to my boyfriend to ask if he would be embarrassed if I wore it out with him...luckily he said no and I think he may have been a bit jealous there wasn't one big enough for him. JOY. So I skipped off to the changing rooms and paraded round with it on as I knew that sort of behaviour was completely inappropriate outside that cubicle (is it?). Anyway, I was never a huge fan of the newest set of Star Wars films but I remember watching the original with my dad when I was little and thought it was awesome whilst not understanding any of it...so for that reason I had to buy it and for a measly £12 in Urban Outifitters (again)...it was mine all mine :)

It wouldn't quite be Je Suis Louise if there wasn't some sort of beauty purchase in a post so I couldn't resist picking up the amazing Tea Tree Water Toner from Lush. I have been in the market for a new toner for a while but never like to spend a hefty amount on them as they are one of the more minor steps in my routine so when I read about this product on many blogs I couldn't stop thinking of it and at a price of £3.95 for 100g or £7.50 for 200g...I think I bought in to a gooden. Since using it I have noticed any spots or red marks that have appeared are slowly fading away due to the antibacterial tea tree which my skin just loves. The girl that served me in the Brighton store was lovely as well which is a given in any Lush store, great product great shopping experience.

And last but not least is probably my fave of them all. I have had the same leather jacket for a good 5 or 6 years and we have shared many memories together but the holes in the arms, the broken zips, the buckles that are hanging off by a very thin thread are no longer cute or look retro...it just looks damn right dutty so when I saw this clean, quilted, intact pleather number in Dorothy Perkins for £49 it was love. I also struck gold as there was a 30% sale on all items in store AND I had a £20 voucher to splurge on...I was one happy bunny.

AS this is my first shopping haul, and I'm quite nosey, I'd love to see what you all have bought lately...any January sale bargains, any new year new you hauls? Link your blogs in the comments as I would love to have a look :)

DO YOU WANT TO GO TO THE SEASIDE?

Happy Sunday Everyone! I hope you are all having a splendid weekend. Although I am having a relaxed one, catching up with friends and finding any excuse to go for a bite to eat, I thought I would share with you my little adventure last weekend to Brighton. If you work in London or live in a big city you will know that every now and again, stepping outside of the big smoke even just for a few days is a breathe of a fresh air (literally) and clears those cobwebs away. It was just what was needed :)

The weekend was spent weaving through the lanes,  beach walks in the sun (in January I know...shock, shock, horror, horror) and lots and lots of amazing food, drinks and of course company.

Coat - Zara
Pinafore - Urban Outfitters
Jumper - Urban Outfitters
Boots - Blue Inc

Check out the video below to see what we got up and make sure to check out my youtube channel www.youtube.com/user/jesuisloueeez/videos to see more of my lil adventures.

CHRISTMAS PRESENT BEAUTY HAUL

This Christmas, I was truly spoilt rotten with gifts from my amazing friends and family and of course that meant lots of beauty and makeup products to be squealed over. So without further adieu I give you my Christmas beauty pressies and my first ever haul.

Now this little beauty was a complete surprise, a box full of gorgeous products from & Other Stories. Whenever I enter this amazing store, I go a little bit giddy. To say I have a crush on this place full of beautiful treasures is an understatement. Their stands are something only Pinterest boards are made of and I only dreamt of adorning my bathroom with their beautiful, simplistically packaged products which smell exactly as it says on the tin. Luckily enough for me, a special someone treated me to some products from the amazing Cotton Care Range, a body scrub, soap bar, body lotion, shower cream, all purpose balm and a soft flannel - I am in heaven.

If you read my What's the story Soap and Glory post then you will know how much of a fan I am of all of the Soap & Glory bath products. One of my favourites ranges is Sugar Crush. WIth it's fresh zingy lime scent it is perfect to start the day and I was lucky to unwrap a special Sugar Crush box set on Christmas morning filled with body wash, body butter, body scrub and a loofah sponge - Perfection!

My final beauty treat this Christmas was a trip down memory lane, a complete Best of Benefit kit with 5 of their best sellers, the Boi-ing concealer, They're Real mascara, High Beam, Bene Tint, Hoola bronzer and their Porefessional. I have used all of these products and they really are the best of the bunch and have been my fave Benefit products for years. Due to the beauty magpie in me I am constantly trying and testing new products and I seem to forget about the ol' favourites so this was the perfect present for me and I have most definitely rekindled that Bene-spark - they haven't left my face since I got them.

If you got some beauty products as Christmas gifts this year, let me know what you got with a link to your blog below :)

HERE'S TO A HAPPY 2014

If you know me well, you will know that Christmas is my favourite time of year and also the busiest. Every December is filled with friends, food and lots of fun, unfortunately this meant Je Suis Louise took a back seat and so had a bit of a Christmas break in 2013. However, it s a new year, we're all back into the swing of our every day routines and hitting the gym hard after all that turkey and so is Je Suis Louise. I hope you all had a fantastic holiday season and Happy New Year to you all.

Here is just a few things I got up to throughout the festive period :)
